A Little About Me Lynda Brown Real Estate Agent in Manistee County was born in Flint Michigan in 1952. Later, Lynda and her parents moved to Oakland County north of Detroit. Lynda attended Northwestern University in the summer of '69 as as a high school student. Lynda Beaton, (now Lynda Brown) graduated from Bloomfield Hills Andover High School in 1970 and attended college in Adrian Michigan. Lynda worked for Entertainment Publications, Inc in Troy, Michigan as a Group Manager within the Manufacturing Department prior to moving to Manistee County. Most of Lynda's work experience has been publishing - specializing in print. My Parents - Truly the Greatest Generation... My parents Carol and Ian Beaton both graduated from Northwestern University. Ian Beaton was a senior VP at Campell Ewald and worked on ads for GM. My Dad took his children on location to film commericals. My brother, a graduate of Interlochen and I enjoyed spending time with our Dad. General Chuck Yeager, was hired in later years to be a spokesperson for GM products. My father and the General, were quite a dangerous pair on location! My mother, Carol Beaton was a drama major at NU and instilled a love of theater, poetry reading, and art in my life. I use all of my experiences and education to promote buying and selling real estate in Manistee County Michigan. KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE GOAL My Dad, who is 85, has told me that all of my life. It's so true and completely applies to real estate! When the "process" of the endless questions the lender has to ask becomes a burden, it is easy to get frustrated. But if you keep "your eyes on the goal", the vision of walking on Lake Michigan's shoreline, remodeling your first home with $8,000 of the stimulus money, or simply setting up a hunting camp, makes the process a bit more bearable. Sellers get frustrated too, but remember to stay upbeat and positive. Be ready for every showing, price your property right and keep your eyes on the future.
